Will my rates go up by filing a claim?
No, they shouldn’t. It’s not the same as a car accident where someone is at fault. This is a natural disaster one of the reasons you pay homeowners insurance. They cannot penalize you for using your insurance.
What about my deductible?
The deductible is the amount your insurance company deducts from the total amount of the repair estimate. They expect you to pay the deductible in order to get the work completed. We have programs to help you pay all or most of your deductible.

What brand of shingles do you use?
We use both 3-tab and architectural asphalt shingles, as well as metal roofing. We are a Certainteed certified installer, but have access to the GAF Elk, Atlas, and Owens Corning product lines as well.
Do you replace the wood under the shingles?
Typically insurance companies do not cover damage to decking or rafters. However, as a courtesy to our clients we cover up to 3 – 4’ x 8’ sheets of decking at no cost. The majority of homes only have a few minor areas that need to be replaced near chimneys and vents.
Do you tear the old shingles off, or put the new shingles on top of the old ones?
We always tear off the old shingles in order to properly inspect the decking underneath. Completely tearing the old roof off is much more work, but it is the only way to properly do the job. Leaving the old shingles on causes poor ventilation, and can cause roofs to sag due to excess weight.
What are architectural (dimensional) shingles?
Dimensional shingles are a 2 part laminated shingles that provides a superior appearance and protection to your home. They give a 3-dimensional appearance to your roof, and are preferred by most new home builders. They have superior wind resistance and last longer than traditional 3-tab shingles.
How long will the installation take?
Most of our roofs can be completed in one day. We have a very streamlined process combined with exceptional hardworking employees. All roofing projects are different and come with their own set of challenges.
Do you clean up all of the old shingles and nails?
Yes!! We clean up all of the old shingles and nails. We run strong magnets through all landscaping, around the yard, and up all driveways and walkways. We also blow off the roof, gutters and driveway when we are finished.
